Not every family can say they are related to a US President, but we can! This 13th President of the United States is my 5th Cousin, 5x Removed and the relation is through the Hoisington line, with our common ancestor being Samuel Eddy (1608-1687) who settled in Massachusetts after immigrating to America from Cranbrook, Kent, England.
President Fillmore was born in Locke, Cayuga, New York and later settled and died in Buffalo, Erie, New York. He married Abigail Powers (1798-1853), also from New York, who became the First Lady of the US when her husband became President.
