Elmer Schlesinger was the 2nd husband of the well known Cissy Patterson. He was born in Chicago to Leopold and Henrietta Mayer Schlesinger. He graduated from the Harvard Law School in 1901 and was a Partner in the law firm Mayer, Meyer, Austrian and Platt. Elmer's known travels were to France and the Bahamas and he died in South Carolina at the young age of 48. The house pictured is known as the Patterson House and was owned by Mrs. Eleanor (Cissy) Schlesinger in Washington DC on Dupont Circle.
Elmer's first wife was Halle Schaffner and they had one daughter who was also named Halle.
